As the campaign gathers pace towards its conclusion, the championship of the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division is very much a race between leaders Ovenden West Riding and last season's winners Bay Athletic.
Ovenden hold a 13-point lead over their Huddersfield rivals but have played three games more.
On Saturday, Ovenden take on their local rivals Halifax Irish, who are still not safe from relegation, while Bay take on Campion, who look likely to finish up in third place.
Tyersal could, with a victory, virtually end their hosts Lepton Highlanders two-season stay in the top flight, while Steeton will be playing their third game in six days when Huddersfield YMCA are their visitors.
Division One leaders Hunsworth will be looking to put their 1-0 defeat to Fields in the Bradford & District FA Saturday Cup final earlier in the week, and take three of the four points they need to ensure promotion, when they visit Storthes Hall Reserves.
Last night's results - Premier Division: Bay Athletic 3 (K Gayle 2, N James) Golcar United 0; Steeton 3 (A Spencer, S Rooke, L Reilly), Campion 3 (B O’Melia 2, N Woodward); Storthes Hall 1 (B Jenkins), Ovenden WR 2 (J Booth 2).
