SIR - Regarding the procedure known as filibustering. How democratic is it that one MP is allowed to blather on for hours until Parliament runs out of time, so no vote can take place?
It is what Philip Davies does. The Speaker of the House of Commons allows it, and so do other MPs. The whole process of Parliament is brought to a standstill by one motor-mouth. We need to get rid of this practice, as well as Mr Davies.
