SIR - In response to John Hall, (T&A letters, June 26, 2018. Surely the section of the electorate who abstained from voting in the referendum did so because they did not wish to express an opinion either for Leave or for Remain.
In calculating his 63per cent, Mr Hall assumes that they voted Remain when in fact they left the choice to those who did express an opinion.
