SIR - On a previous occasion I had requested your correspondent, Mr Cole to explain his assertion that the EU Referendum was flawed, which he failed to oblige. He has again repeated this assertion (T&A, February 2) and perhaps he will now provide clarity.

He further asserts the supposed effects of “buyers’ remorse”, and fails to provide any evidence for this claim.

If necessary I would be quite prepared that a second referendum be held to decide the manner of our separation from the EU and am certain that people like Mr Cole would seek further excuses even if and when the majority against our membership will be greater than previously.
