SIR – You’d never know that Jeremy Corbyn MP had won by a landslide a free, fair and democratic election for leadership of the Labour Party, chosen not just by the parliamentary party or the unions by mostly by the ordinary members or registered supporters.

As judging by the attitude of quite a few of the London-based metropolitan elite section of Labour, ie those Oxbridge PPE graduates foisted on safe northern constituencies in preference to genuine local activists to whom a day’s real hard work would be a mystery, you’d think he stole the result.

For any or all to refuse to serve under him on the front bench is a disgrace, the ultimate disloyalty, and those MPs should now consider their positions with a view to standing down or face de-selection next time.

Some say Mr Corbyn (pictured) could never win the 2020 Election but in races like the Grand National, etc, some unlikely outsiders have been known to succeed.

History shows this country does not want a permanent one-party state and in the past has always eventually voted for change. Maybe this will be Jeremy Corbyn’s moment to make history.
