SIR – Thousands of Bradfordians living in high-rise flats don’t have recycling bins and the few bins provided for household waste are often filled to overflowing long before the next weekly collection is due. So if the council cut bin collections from weekly to fortnightly rubbish will be strewn everywhere.
Councillor Jeanette Sunderland, leader of the Lib Dem group, said residents were too lazy or can’t be bothered to sort their recycling. Such inane comments when no bins are provided for that purpose dumbfounds me.
Even if there were, who is going to help the sick, disabled and elderly to fulfil what to them would be a difficult task?
Not Ms Sunderland, that’s for sure.
