SIR – Perhaps before rushing to criticise local schools (T&A, September 12) for having CCTV in the sink areas of toilets, ‘Big Brother Watch’ should consider why this is the case.
It is perfectly sensible for Titus Salt School (and others) to have cameras in communal areas with clear notices indicating this is the case. This seems to me to be an ideal way to help prevent vandalism, bullying, smoking and other inappropriate behaviour.
Well done Titus Salt – I am sure your actions are reassuring to parents and pupils alike.
