SIR – I read with interest your article (T&A, August 31) about the new powers in the Localism Act, soon to be enacted.
Giving more rights to the people to have a say about what happens in the disposal of buildings and land, maybe the Odeon/New Victoria preservation group can use the legislation against the vandals who want to destroy what is left of our city centre.
