SIR – As an avid T&A reader, council tax payer and tight Yorkshire man, I was interested in the article (T&A, August 9) regarding the new prison cells that need to be built at the Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court .
It says the authority has set aside £4.4 million for the job? Please could one of the people in charge of this give us an idea of where this figure comes from and whether we will be able to get hold of a breakdown of the cost under the Freedom of Information Act?
