SIR – Former Prime Minister Tony Blair hints at being back as Prime Minister if he could, and goes on to say he has learned a few lessons since leaving office in 2007.
If so why then does Mr Blair still insist he was right to go to war in Iraq?
Does this imply if he was re-elected as Prime Minister next week that he would again go to war if one blew up out of the woodwork. I suspect without doubt he would.
Just as recently, Mr Blair has praised his immigration policies while in office. Ed Miliband, the Labour leader, recently said immigration under the last Labour government had been a mistake.
In my view it’s clear he would make the same mistakes if he was re-elected as Prime Minister next week.
In truth I do not think Mr Blair has learned a thing since he left office five years ago.
Mr Blair never pulled the wool over my eyes when he was Prime Minister – he’s not going to start now.
