SIR – What a ‘refreshing’ change to hear of a pub being turned into a church instead of the other way round (T&A, April 23).
Members of a Bradford Methodist community plan to open a new headquarters in the disused McRory’s pub on Easby Road.
Like the vacated Listers Arms pub on Manchester Road, which has been converted into solicitors offices, it is quite an imposing building and, one thing for sure, it will not now become a derelict eyesore. A sobering thought.
