SIR – Reading in your paper of the mystery buried brewery bottles in Baildon, may I say that the Holloways and Fentiman would come from my late father-in-law’s business in Highfield Road, Idle.
He was Mr Albert Pickersgill who owned what was called Hollows Pop Works (the Fentiman part had really died out).
He sold out to Barrs, the Scottish brewers, just after the war and went to live in Jersey at the same time as Mr Seabrook who made crisps in Bradford (a very popular diet, crisps and pop).
