SIR – Re the forthcoming bus changes in Bradford. Large sections of routes which have existed for generations are to disappear without any public consultation.

There are so many alterations which are going to take effect in less than a week that they cannot be easily listed.

Metro invited comments about some proposed changes several months ago, and last week some people were informed by Metro of the result of the consultation, but there are to be many more alterations than Metro ever mentioned.

Bus users were never invited to comment about changes to the 610 and 612 services, but now we are belatedly finding out that there will no longer be any bus going from Five Lane Ends to Bolton Junction. It must be more than a century since there was no direct public transport between those two places.

The curtailing of the 610 route will apparently result in residents of West Royd in Shipley having no bus at all.
