SIR – The outpouring of love and prayers for the stricken footballer Fabrice Muamba, uniting football fans and players alike everywhere, has been truly amazing.
If only the same generosity of human spirit could extend far beyond the confines of football and travel around the world to embrace all peoples everywhere, then maybe, just maybe, we might one day see the “wonderful world” that the late, great Louis Armstrong sang about many years ago.
