SIR – Congratulations to the lucky stable lad who won £1 million on a Cheltenham accumulator (T&A, March 17).
We are not told how many horses he backed or at what odds they won, but I remember Captain, the Telegraph & Argus tipster in the 1970s, naming the winners of all the races at a three-day meeting held I, believe, at Newmarket.
Was this remarkable feat ever equalled or beaten?
