SIR – British, Spanish, Greek, Portuguese and Italian workers are seeing sustained attacks upon their pay and working conditions by right-wing Governments.
Far too long union bosses have cosied up to the establishment instead of representing their members.
It is time for the left to mobilise across Europe and ensure that the next elections result in victories for left parties. This means going out into the community rather than gazing at our laurels.
