SIR – I am not the only one who is losing confidence in Westfield’s ability to build Bradford’s long-awaited shopping centre.

No word since November, and in the meantime we continue to watch our city centre decline like it has done rapidly over the past decade or so.

Westfield’s lack of communication and commitment to the scheme has long been the problem.

How are we to know if progress is being made behind the scenes when months pass with no news?

Westfield has some bridges to build with the Bradford public. I have to question whether Westfield is the worst thing to happen to Bradford city centre.

At least the previous developer Stannifer seemed much further forward with the development and ready to commence.

I hope Westfield can finally provide Bradford with some honesty and provide our city centre with the boost it so desperately needs.
