SIR – I wonder if any T&A readers can help me.

I am thinking of writing a comedy series for television based on the antics of an inept Council.

The Council will have pulled down most of the shops in the town centre without planning their replacements.

The resulting holes in the ground they will turn into a park and an ornamental lake under the deluded idea that this will attract visitors. With the loss of businesses, the Council raise car park charges and introduce parking charges for on-street parking. This results in other businesses leaving.

Using the many comedy actors which this country has, anyone can see that there is great potential for a comedy classic. But there could be a happy ending. I may let the Council win in the end by creating a ‘ghost town’, and visitors would flock to the town to see the only entirely deserted town in the world where all the local people have to shop and work in surrounding towns and cities.

All I need is the right person with the right contacts and we can get the whole country laughing at this absurd comedic scenario.
