SIR – The report in the T&A (January 3) that Bradford Council is wanting to sell the plot of land at Greengates traffic lights is of great concern both to local residents and to the wider community who use this congested junction. It was also concerning to read that no-one from the Council was available for comment on a matter of some importance.
One would like to think that the T&A would continue to pursue the Council for a suitable response. Additionally, we should surely expect the Council to provide such a response, for the benefit of us all, once one has been requested?
Perhaps Council chief executive Tony Reeves would like to comment on this, and also confirm that proper responses will always be provided in the future? Bob Watson, Springfield Road, Baildon
