SIR – We are not told what prompted Bruce Holmes of Keighley to pen his rather vitriolic missive (Letters, December 23) stating he was totally opposed to any kind of “subsidy” for the poorer residents of Bradford or why he has suffered enough from association with that city.
So as a Bradfordian, I can only hope his embitterment diminishes and wish him a happier 2012.
