SIR – I read with great interest the item of news stating that the Lord Mayor has opened the new Saltaire Tourist Information Centre in Salts Mill.
What was really disappointing was that the Shipley Glen Tramway was not on the list of attractions for people to visit.
Although Roberts Park is lovely, there are many parks in the area, but only one tramway. It is unique and I cannot understand how it is constantly being overlooked.
It is after all just across the road from the park and a ride on it transports one up to the lovely Shipley Glen and is an interesting experience, especially for children.
