SIR – Upon picking up my Sunday newspaper hoping some good news would brighten my day, I came to an article concerning one Siraj Yassan Abdulla Ali, a convicted high-risk Al Queda fanatical terrorist.

This man was released from prison after serving only half of his nine-year jail term. He cannot be deported because of his human rights. He will now be kept by this country (tax payers) and will be in receipt of every benefit it provides. A country he despises enough to try to destroy.

Turning the page, the heading read ‘British soldier released from the army and told they will not cover his care’. Ben Parkinson, the man in question, suffered horrific injuries fighting for his country in Afghanistan. The compensation he received will not be enough to give him a good standard of living and the support he will need throughout his life.

As for ‘Great’ in Great Britain, it’s only now great for asylum seekers, illegal immigrants, criminals and general anything-I-can-get-for-nothing individuals.
