SIR – Why is Bradford Council going against the wishes of the vast majority of its citizens who do not want further development on green belt land?

This fact is borne out by every survey on the subject. Why is Bradford Council so obsessed with wanting to pour concrete on green belt land?

We have reasons provided by Bradford Council that more houses are needed for Bradford’s increasing population. However, if this argument put forward by them is true, then why is Bradford Council doing nothing about the 19,000 housing applications already granted to developers with not a brick laid.

What is Bradford Council also doing about the thousands of empty properties in Bradford?

I suggest Bradford Council gets its own house in order before it destroys more of the beautiful green belt landscape in the Bradford area, because once built on, it will be lost forever.

Furthermore can the Telegraph & Argus please supply its readers with the names of the councillors and the political parties they represent who support the green belt sell-off?
