SIR – Returning to Bradford recently after a day out, I had to cross from Hall Ings to Leeds Road, which is a very pleasant walk, passing the Leeds Road steps to Bradford Crown Courts.
What a sorry sight met my eyes when, on glancing up, I saw the remains of the signage for the old Bradford Exchange Railway Station, still quite visible above the Entrance, and what is more, weeds abounded in the stonework over the sign. I forget how many years ago it was since the Courts replaced the Station, but quite a few!
Is it not about time, if we wish the citizens of Bradford to take pride in their city, that greater pride is taken in its appearance?
