SIR – Last week, you printed a letter from a Bradford republican Sam Gardner (Letters, April 28), with the to-be-expected mean, envious and spiteful comments on William and Kate, who married last Friday.
He refers to them as two millionaires and the taxpayers’ money being paid on their security. No doubt he is also a dyed-in-the-wool Old Labour man.
May I just remind him that we taxpayers also pay for the security of the millionaire Blairs – would-be President and his wife. I am pretty sure who the majority of us supports.
