SIR – I have read so many letters in your newspaper about the demise of Bradford.

I worked at National & Provincial Building Society in the city centre for more than 20 years and was very happy with the facilities the city had to offer.

There was a good selection of shops, restaurants, cinemas and theatres. The shops were busy, and at lunchtimes there were so many people queuing to spend their money in the city. It is so different now.

I can’t see how a park will attract people into the city. The only thing that attracts me into Bradford these days is if there’s something good on at the Alhambra!
