SIR - While wishing every success to the stilt walkers who are to patrol Bradford city centre with megaphones in order to draw attention to litterbugs and shame them into picking up their rubbish (T&A, August 7), I hope they have been forewarned that many of the pavements are uneven and there are a few potholes to be negotiated.
It's frightening enough for the ordinary pedestrians to trip and fall but to plunge from a couple of high props would be terrifying.
However, if litterbugs are only to be shamed and escape having to pay a £75 fine which can be imposed by the Council's enforcement officers then I am not in favour of the scheme.
