SIR – It seems that some people are only too ready to take a pop at our magnificent NHS.
For the last year or so, I have been a regular visitor to the BRI, in and out for procedures and tests, and I have always found the treatment that I have been afforded to be second to none.
Recently, I had to attend an early morning appointment to take in samples and to undergo a blood test.
After buying a T&A in the foyer, I didn’t have time to read the letters page before I was seen to by the nurse.
I mentioned that I was unable to use my bus pass until after 9.30am. No problem – tea and biscuits soon materialised and everyone’s a winner.
We should give more appreciation to the medical teams that make up our NHS, which is the envy of the world.
