SIR – An excellent letter by Nick Harrison (T&A, January 17) regarding the shambolic “regeneration game” being played out in the city centre.
Bradford Council, having been hammered for allowing Westfield to “lead them up the garden path”, have knee-jerked into creating another monster with the Urban Garden.
This is a record low point, even by Council standards, who have so easily been attracted to demolition of upright buildings, now having to dig up a flat piece of land!
There is no chance that this Bradford Bunch is capable of achieving anything – imagine them trying to demolish the Odeon, they’d probably bring down City Hall at the same time! Hang on…
