SIR – Re the accident in Kirkgate, Shipley, on December 22, I write to thank all the very kind people who helped me when I was knocked down and taken to hospital, not forgetting the shopkeeper who took me in and put up with all the trauma until the ambulance came.
Also the lady who worked next door who stayed with me and all the other people who offered to help.
It is so nice to know that so many people found time to help in the busy period just before Christmas. The people of Shipley were just brilliant and I shall always be grateful.
I am now out of hospital and hope to be better soon.
