SIR – I have just spent two weeks in Morrisons Enterprise Way representing the Royal British Legion, manning the Poppy Appeal stand.
I wish to thank the management and staff for their support. I wish also to thank members of the public who so generously donated.
The total raised in the store was a staggering £12,691 – a record. Our Poppy Appeal co-ordinator Mrs B Allsopp feels confident that the Royal British Legion amount collected in the Bradford District will pass any previous amount. She will in due course announce the total.
This year shows just how generous Bradford people can be and all monies raised nationally go toward the continued support of all our armed forces. Thank you all.
