SIR – One of your recent correspondents asked for more humour on this page, so how’s this for a joke?
The Con-Dem government intends to squeeze £11 billion out of society’s poorest and most vulnerable, ie, the disabled and unemployed, while letting the fat cat tax dodgers get out of paying £42 billion in unpaid taxes.
You couldn’t make it up! I’d give the Tories the Perrier prize for most unbelievable act!
