SIR – According to our “Great Leader” in America (Dave) we should be grateful “as junior partners to the US”.
As both my parents were in the forces in 1940, I was always told Britain stood alone against Hitler’s Germany.
In 1941, the US never declared war on Germany and only came in when Hitler declared war on America.
Mr Cameron (Dave) thanked America for playing the “leading” role in 1940. They weren’t even in the war then. Did he make this speech last week only to suck up to President Obama?
Come on, Prime Minister, get your history right, or this Con-Dems Government won’t last long.
