SIR – The following occurred on May 29, 2010, at the Ring O’Bells restaurant in Thornton.
We travelled from Switzerland for a reunion to Bradford and surrounding villages to see my former landlady and her family, after 45 years.
This could not be done without photographs dating back to 1965.
We were staying at the Premier Inn in Bingley, where we accidentally left our photo album at the reception. So we made a phone call to have the album put in a safe place there.
The person on the phone asked where we were holding our reunion and, sure enough, after an hour or so, a nice gentleman from the Premier Inn by the name of Dave showed up at our table – in his hand the aforementioned photo album!
He saved our evening. We were so grateful and will always remember the name Premier Inn!
Kind Regards from Switzerland.
