SIR – David Rhodes informs us that David Ward won Bradford East (formerly Bradford North) for the Liberal Democrats because boundary changes moved the Manningham Ward from his seat to Bradford West (Letters, May 15).
When I lived in Manningham during the General Election of Thursday, June 11, 1987, it was part of the Bradford West constituency as well. Standing for the Conservatives then was one Iain Duncan Smith, who failed to win the seat.
