SIR – The demolition of the former police station has opened up the view towards the Alhambra and the Odeon, giving a more distant impression of these two fine buildings, and how they could be part of a magnificent feature of the new park.
Surely everybody, including our Council, can see how a restored Odeon could be a much more pleasant addition to the skyline than the drab and characterless New Victoria Place building.
Voting is just around the corner now, and I will be asking my local candidates how they stand on such issues as city centre regeneration, including the future of the Odeon, the Westfield site, and the Odsal sporting village, and its effect on Bradford City FC.
