SIR May I through your letters column take this opportunity to praise, commend and thank the work and effort of the organisers of the Community Day event at Valley Parade on Sunday.
Councillor Ward and his helpers, through their hard work, laid on a spectacle music, sport, food, arts, face painting, mendi, stalls, clown, police, army and even the good old-fashioned ice cream van.
The ground was a quarter full when the main event took place but there were hundreds of others visiting the stalls and other activities going on.
It was a great day for Bradford and its community even the weather couldn't dampen the spirit.
