SIR – Re the report headlined “Motorists warned” (T&A, February 24).
Exceeding the speed limit in Northcote Road, Undercliffe (caught during a Speedwatch operation). Result: a dozen motorists sent warning letters.
Exceeding the speed limit on Otley Road, Undercliffe (caught by camera – over the speed limit by 4mph). Result: a £60 fine, and three penalty points!
Something fishy and decidedly unfair is going on. Surely speeding is speeding, whether a person is caught by Speedwatch or a camera?
