SIR – Gordon Brown is saying we are coming out of the recession. Is he kidding himself or the public?
Well, a few months ago the T&A asked the readers to name grot spots in the area – where does one start? Carnegie Library, Shipley, and the former Glenroya cinema, the land in front of Shipley Bowling Alley.
Whoever owns these premises should be given a time limit to do something with them. If not, then the Council should take over, I’m sure people are fed up with eyesores that no-one cares about.
