SIR – Staff from leading veterinary charity, PDSA, were delighted to meet so many local pets and their owners when our PetCheck vehicle came to Skipton recently.
We were visited by dogs of all shapes and sizes, ranging from trim terriers to hefty hounds. Our veterinary nurse was on hand to give general health checks, which included body shape, dental health and general fitness.
As well as providing PetChecks to dog owners, PDSA provides free veterinary care for the sick and injured pets of people in need, throughout the UK. To run these vital services we rely entirely on public support and donations, so I would urge all animal-loving readers to support our much-needed work.
If you missed PDSA’s PetCheck visit, you can get free pet health information by logging on PDSA’s website, pdsa.org.uk.
