SIR – The article in the T&A (October 20) in which Professor Stuart Gulliver of Glasgow University is quoted as saying how important the City Park development is to the regeneration of Bradford, makes very interesting reading.
Contrast this with the letter from Kate Meynell in the same issue, accusing Bradford Council, past and present, of the rape of Bradford.
Therein lies the difference between academics and councillors on the one hand, and the citizens of Bradford on the other.
The City Park will no more regenerate Bradford than will the demolition of the former Odeon building.
