SIR – I have been forwarded a letter that appeared in the T&A (September 9) about the alleged non-appearance of the 711 bus service on Wednesday, August 26.
The lady comments that the screen at the interchange announced that the bus was due at 1.55pm, but by 2.10 the bus still had not arrived.
Thanks to modern technology – we have satellite trackers on our vehicles – I can confirm that the bus entered Bradford Interchange at 13.50 and 42 seconds and began its journey towards The White Rose Centre at 13.55 and 12 seconds.
I can only assume that the lady did not realise that the service is no longer operated by First Bradford and has failed to notice that the blue double-decker waiting at the bus stop T1.
