SIR – If the Council starts charging us for household waste removal, as mentioned in Elaine Neale’s letter (T&A, January 27), they had better stop firms inundating us with junk mail, otherwise our streets will end up knee-deep in litter. Many will refuse to pay to get rid of this unwanted “rubbish” and just dump it anywhere.
