SIR – I read with the interest the articles on cycling in Bradford, and very good news it is too.
As a regular cyclist, I wish to offer Viv Carnea, the cycling tsar, all of my support.
With regard to the Government’s Cycle to Work tax break scheme, I contacted Bradford Council more than a year ago to enquire about the scheme, to be told that they were looking into it and would soon introduce the scheme to enable their employees to loan a bike, tax free, with all the usual benefits to health and the environment.
I just wonder why their staff are still waiting?
