SIR - I feel the plan outlined for alleviating congestion at the Saltaire roundabout (T&A, April 2) shows imagination but the comments by some were puzzling.

What does John Blackburn mean, in straightforward English, by "real-time information are not progressed at this time" and "to bring forward slippage in the programme"?

Since when has a deadline ever been kept by any sort of bureaucracy? And Ian Greenwood who, it appears, co-operates with nothing thought up by anybody but Labour, says the Council has not done enough.

Perhaps not enough, Mr Greenwood, but it is better than nothing your party did, even though you admit you knew of the need for vital action for many years. Stop politicking and all pull together. I won't hold my breath!
