SIR - When John Hall drew the colourful analogy between the EU Constitution (Treaty) and a bomb, with or without its fuse (T&A, April 3), I was struggling to make sense of the comparison.
But then it suddenly came to me. Perhaps he's arguing that it's really just like a Lib-Dem election manifesto.
After all, that too is full of potentially explosive content but will never have the wherewithal to make any of it actually happen.
That makes a lot more sense - thanks, John.
