SIR - Regarding MPs' expenses, why should there be so much secrecy? After all, they are accountable to the tax payer. We pay their wages. I think of the old saying "nothing to hide, nothing to fear".
Reading different accounts in the press, they have been getting away with vast amounts of money which in any circumstances is fraud or embezzlement. They ought to be like councillors and amounts paid to them be published.
