SIR - I would like to question Fatima Patel (T&A Letters, November 13) who asks "do we have to apologise for following Islam?"
That would depend on whether the form of Islam is moderate, strict, fanatical or extremist! The answer is in the hands of the believer.
Also, what does she mean by "Islamic names"? That surely plays into the hands of stereotyping and stigmas!
It would be nice if Muslims could see that the answer to their own problems, real or perceived, is in fact within. Why do many look for blame elsewhere?
