SIR - HGV driver Tony Banks is rightly furious that the Recorder of Bradford, Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC, only handed down a community order to Carl Walker (T&A, June 14). This despite Walker being convicted of dangerous driving and a "road rage" assault.
It is unfortunate that despite his previous assurances the Judge can still find reasons why certain danger drivers are not locked up. He thinks this latest decision of his was "fair and appropriate."
There will be many who strongly disagree with him, and again feel let down by the local judiciary.
Bob Watson, Springfield Road, Baildon
