SIR - There were calls recently from within the Tory party for money donated to the Labour party by Max Mosley, to be handed back because he was found to have produced a racist pamphlet in the early sixties. Labour refused to do so but said that they would accept no further donations from him.
Max Mosley is not the most pleasant of people but perhaps his views may have changed over the course of over 50 years, who knows ?
On the other side of the coin, the Tory party think that it`s perfectly okay to have received over £3m through individual MPs, since 2010 in donations from Russian linked oligarchs, resident in London and Russian linked companies.
Is it unreasonable to ask just exactly what these donors were expecting in return for their well laundered money ?
